Vincent Vermeij (born August 9, 1994 in Blaricum ) is a Dutch football player . The striker is under contract with the German third division club MSV Duisburg and is a former Dutch junior international.

Career

The tall striker grew up in the province of Noord-Holland and received football training from the local clubs De Zuidvogels and Ajax Amsterdam as well as from Almere City from Flevoland .

After just one year at Ajax's famous football school , Vermeij was pulled up into the squad of Jong Ajax , the second team of the capital city, for the 2013/14 season . In the second Dutch league he scored two goals in 17 missions, during the winter break he was sold to league competitor BV De Graafschap , with whom he failed in the promotion relegation to the Eredivisie . In the following season , the rise succeeded, to which Vermeij, who was now a regular player, was able to contribute 20 season hits.

After De Graafschap was unable to stay in the league, first division club Heracles Almelo signed the attacker in the summer of 2016. In addition to his work for the professional team, the center forward was also often used for the second team called Jong Heracles in the Beloften Eredivisie reserve league . In the 20-0 win over Jong Achilles on December 10, 2018, he scored six times in the opposing goal.

After a loan from the winter break until the end of the First Division 2018/19 for FC Den Bosch , with the Dutchman participated unsuccessfully in the ascent relegation, he did not return more back Almelo but has been prepared by the German 3.
