Darius-Dacian Ghindovean (born November 1, 2001 in Mediaş , Transylvania ) is a Romanian football player who is currently under contract in Germany with MSV Duisburg .

Career

Darius Ghindovean grew up in his Romanian homeland. In 2016 he came to Germany, where he initially played in the B-youth of SC Kapellen-Erft . The following year he moved to MSV Duisburg , for whose B youth he played in the Bundesliga . Also in his first A-junior year he was a regular player in the Bundesliga team at MSV . In the 2019/20 season, which was overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic , coach Torsten Lieberknecht appointed him to the squad of the third division professional team of the MSV in view of major personnel problems . After initially being part of the matchday squad, he made his third division debut on June 20, 2020 when he was in the Duisburg starting line-up for the game against Hansa Rostock . At the break he was substituted for Leroy-Jacques Mickels .

National team

From 2018 Ghindovean played for several youth national teams of the Federația Română de Fotbal , including six appearances for the U-19 team in his home country.
