Leroy-Jacques Mickels (born June 25, 1995 in Siegburg ) is a German - Congolese soccer player .

Career

Mickels played in his youth for the VSF Amern and finally up to the U19 for Borussia Mönchengladbach . In the summer of 2014 he moved from the U19 to the Gladbach team's 2nd team. In this 2014/15 season he played seven games and scored one goal in the Regionalliga West .

Then Mickels was without a club from July 2015 to January 2016. On January 29th, he joined FC St. Pauli . Here he was also in the squad of the 1st team, but was only used for the second representation in the Regionalliga Nord . From July 2016 to January 2017 Mickels was again looking for a club.

On January 25, 2017, he returned to the Regionalliga West and joined Alemannia Aachen . Here he played games for the 1st team and also for the 2nd team in the Middle Rhine League . After three months in April 2017, he left the club.

In October 2017 Mickels joined 1. FC Monheim in the Oberliga Niederrhein . Here he played 20 games and scored 16 points scorer (ten goals and six assists). In November 2017 he completed a trial training at FC Hansa Rostock , which was playing in the 3rd division at the time . Finally, Mickels moved to SSVg Velbert in the upper league in summer 2018 . Here he was able to confirm his performance from the previous season and scored 25 scorer points (19 goals and six assists) in 26 games, which meant third place in the top scorer list for him at the end of the 2018/19 season .

In the summer of 2019 Mickels moved two leagues higher to MSV Duisburg in the 3rd division and received a contract valid until June 30, 2020, which was extended early by option to June 2021 at the end of the year.

Mickels has two brothers who are also soccer players, the twin brothers (born March 29, 1994) Joy-Slayd and Joy-Lance . Joy-Slayd currently plays for FC Wegberg-Beeck and Joy-Lance for MVV Maastricht .
