Mark Henrich

Mark Henrich , actually Markus Antonius Henrich, (born July 22, 1961 in Attendorn ) is a former German sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run . In 1982 Henrich became German indoor champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay . In 1987 he was fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Liévin and came fourth at the World Championships in Rome with the German team in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the Olympic Games in 1988 he was used in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary and in the semi-finals and thus contributed to winning the bronze medal for the German team. In 1987 he was German champion , in 1988 runner-up . In 1987 and 1988 he won the national title indoors.

Mark Henrich started for TV Attendorn , OSC Thier Dortmund , VfL Kamen , Hull Athletics Club (England), New York Athletics Club (USA) and Eintracht Frankfurt . In the successful period from 1984 to 1989 he competed for VfL Kamen.

Henrich is the owner and manager of an electricity supplier in the renewable energy sector.

  • 400 m hall: 46.25 s, February 7, 1987, Karlsruhe
  • 14.98 m triple jump in Kuwait City (Kuwait) in 1980 and Hangzhou (China) in 1987 (jumped the same distance by chance) after the 400-meter runs there. These were the only two triple jump competitions he has ever competed in.
