Mark Neveldine (born May 11, 1973 in Watertown , New York ) is an American director and screenwriter .

biography

Neveldine was born in Watertown, which is in the US state of New York . He attended the Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva , where he studied drama and psychology . After graduating, he moved to Manhattan to begin his career with almost 30 productions. He then became increasingly involved in film and initially became a cameraman for music videos and documentaries.

He gained particular fame as a screenwriter and director of the film Crank and its sequel Crank 2: High Voltage . He was also supposed to direct the film Jonah Hex with Brian Taylor , but got out of the project due to "creative inconsistencies".

Mark Neveldine has been married to actress Alison Lohman since August 2009 and has two children with her.
