Mark O'Toole (born June 22, 1963 in London ) is an English clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Plymouth .

Life

Mark O'Toole was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Westminster on June 9, 1990 . From 2002 to 2008 he was the private secretary to the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor . Since 2008 he was rector of Allen Hall - Seminary in Chelsea .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Plymouth on November 9, 2013 . He received his episcopal ordination from his predecessor Hugh Christopher Budd on January 28 of the next year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Westminster, Vincent Nichols , and the Archbishop of Southwark , Peter David Smith .
