Mark Williams (born August 22, 1959 in Bromsgrove , Worcestershire ) is a British actor , comedian and screenwriter .

Life

Williams is best known to British audiences as one of the stars of the UK's popular BBC sketch show The Fast Show , as Olaf Petersen in Red Dwarf and Kirk in Carrie and Barry. He played the role of Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films two to seven and the dumb helper Horace in the real- life adaptation of the Disney classic 101 Dalmatians . In 2012 he was the victim Dale Ridley in an episode of the crook series Hustle - Dishonest is the longest to see the BBC (season 8 - episode 5: The TV star ). Since January 2013 he can be seen as Father Brown in the crime series Father Brown .

He also presented the documentary series Mark Williams on the Rails , a continuation of the earlier series Industrial Revelations .
