Ray lives in London and listens to strangers' phone calls. His friend Shannon, a nurse, and her voice actress friend Frances learn of a bank robbery that is currently taking place, in which 10 million pounds are looted, and the phone number of the bugged robber Danny.
The police do not believe Shannon and Frances’s report. The women call Danny and ask for a million pounds sterling as hush money. Mafia boss Kerrigan puts pressure on Danny to get rid of the blackmailers. Then the criminals hunt them down. A suitcase with money thrown from a train at an agreed location by Mason turns out to be a bomb.
The women fight back and break into Mason's house. He is overwhelmed and tied up. Shannon threatens to inject a lethal dose of insulin if he doesn't reveal where the money is hidden in his house. It is only when Shannon and Frances feign an argument and the killing of Frances that Mason believes Shannon would kill him. He reveals the location and the combination of the safe.
One of Mason's helpers comes into the house, but Frances, believed to be dead, defends her friend. She uses the weapons from Mason's extensive collection. The women take the money and flee. Shortly afterwards the police arrive.
Shannon donates £ 1 million to her hospital in the form of medical equipment. You and Frances still have part of the money left over; Shannon buys a sports car for that money.
