Barnaby Thompson

Barnaby David Waterhouse Thompson (born March 29, 1961 in London-Chelsea ) is a British studio boss, film director and film producer .

Thompson, whose parents worked for British radio, went to St Paul's School in London and studied theology and philosophy at the University of Oxford . From the mid-1980s he can be verified as a production assistant, but Thompson soon became self-employed and founded his own production company, World's End Productions, for which he wrote several documentaries such as A Sense Of Wonder , Singing For Your Supper , The Thin Blue Line and Kiss The Sky , a film about Jimi Hendrix , which he also directed. Both first films, the Spice Girls flick Spiceworld - The Film , was a box office success, but received terrible criticism and even brought Thompson a nomination for the Anti-Preis Razzie Award in 1999 .
