The film is a mixture of comedy and science fiction , a satire on the events of the so-called Santilli film about an alleged autopsy of an alien following the alleged UFO crash of Roswell in 1947. The budget was 10 million dollars. The film made less than half of it. Warner Home Video released the film on July 3, 2006 in the UK and on March 16, 2007 in Germany on DVD.

action

Ray makes a living from selling black film copies on the black market. He and his best friend Gary are in the USA looking for Elvis souvenirs so that they can turn them into money. From Harvey, a former cameraman in the US Army , they get a much more tempting offer: original footage of the autopsy of the alien who crashed in Roswell in 1947 . The eccentric drug lord Lazlo Voros, who is obsessed with the phenomenon of crop circles , gives them the money they need to buy the original tape. Back in London, however, it turns out that the footage is almost destroyed.

In order to appease their dodgy financiers, they come up with the crazy idea with the help of a few friends and a replica of the alien corpse to recreate and re-record the autopsy . Voros is too enthusiastic about the performance to notice the cheap hoax. The film should also be presented to the world public, so that they can sell the performing rights for a lot of money to numerous media around the world. Meanwhile, a news anchor tracks down old Harvey, who tells Ray and Gary to keep his anonymity. They then fake an interview with a homeless man who is acting as the supposed cameraman in order to distract the presenter.

Finally, the now restored original film will be returned. In the end, Ray and Gary bury the film in a field to put an end to the story.
