Declan Joseph Oliver "Dec" Donnelly , OBE (born September 25, 1975 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is a British presenter and, along with Anthony McPartlin, a member of the well-known Ant & Dec duo, which has received various TV awards .
Declan Donnelly played a role in the Byker Grove series as a teenager . There he met Anthony McPartlin. After they both left the series, they began making music under their role names PJ & Duncan , and made it into the charts with several songs.
Donnelly and McPartlin host the British version of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! (Original: I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! ) And the British casting show Britain's Got Talent , which is the template for the German show Das Supertalent . From 2002 to 2009, and again since 2013, he has hosted Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway with McPartlin .
In June 2016, Donnelly was awarded the Order of the British Empire with the rank of officer along with McPartlin .
He has been married to his manager Ali Astall since August 2015. Their daughter was born in September 2018.
