The Markinsenis Peak is a 1790  m high mountain in the Bowers Mountains of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the interface between the McCann Glacier and the Lillie Glacier .

It was mapped by surveying work by the United States Geological Survey and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the naval radio operator Ronald Markinsenis (* 1942), who was part of the occupation team in the winter of 1965 Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
