Marko Dević ( Ukrainian Марко Девич / Marko Dewytsch, Serbian Марко Девић, Russian Марко Девич, born October 27, 1983 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Ukrainian football player of Serbian descent. The midfielder was most recently under contract with FC Vaduz in the Swiss Challenge League .
Career
Dević started his career in Belgrade. His first club was FK Zvezdara . He later played for FK Železnik , FK Radnički Jugopetrol and FK Voždovac . In 2005 he was signed by the Ukrainian club Volyn Lutsk , who played in the Ukrainian first division ( Premjer-Liha ). At the end of the season, Dević returned to Serbia . A little later, coach Myron Markewytsch signed the striker for the eastern Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv . In the 2007/08 season, Marko Dević was the league's top scorer with 19 goals in 27 games. For the 2008/09 season Dević got off to a bad start, but in the 13th game he scored two goals against Chornomorets Odessa . At the end of the season he had eight goals in 24 missions. In the 2010/11 season he scored 13 goals in 24 games, the following season there were 11 goals in 26 games. There were also five goals in the Europa League . For the 2012/2013 season he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk .
For the second half of the 2012/2013 season he moved to FC Metalist Kharkiv back
National team
In June 2008, Marko Dević received Ukrainian citizenship so that he could play for the Ukrainian national team. A little later, the nomination by coach Olexij Mychajlytschenko followed , so that he completed his first international match against Norway on November 19, 2008 .
Devic was in the squad of the Ukrainian team at the European Championship 2012 and was used in all three preliminary round matches.
