Marko Rajamäki (born October 3, 1968 in Gothenburg ) is a former Finnish football player and current coach .

Career

Rajamäki started his career in 1986 at Turku PS , where he scored 60 goals in 166 games. After seven years, in 1993, he switched to Myllykosken Pallo -47 . He stayed there for a season and scored 26 goals in 53 games. Then he played from 1994 to 1997 for the Scottish Greenock Morton and scored 29 goals in 94 games. In the 1997/1998 season Rajamäki came to Germany and played for FSV Zwickau , where he had 18 games and scored one goal. Then he moved to Scottish Livingston FC for the next season . There he played the least in his career. He had five games there. Then he joined the Scottish Hamilton Academical on loan in 1999 . He played eight games. In the same year he came to Inter Turku , where he scored 2 goals in 21 games. The next year he came back to his first club, Turku PS. He played another 31 games and scored 10 goals. The following year he went to Salon Palloilijat and had 27 games with 12 goals scored. In 2002 he came back to Turku PS and played 14 games but scored no goals.

National team

From 1993 to 1995 Marko Rajamäki played for the Finnish national soccer team . He played in 16 national games and scored three goals.

Trainer

After his active career as a player, Rajamäki started working for Turku PS in 2003. After five years as an A-junior coach, he worked as an assistant coach in 2009 and as head coach from 2010. In 2014 Rajamäki moved to league competitor Kuopion PS , where he was under contract until December 31, 2016. Since then he has been without a club.
