Markus A. Höllerer

The Austrian Markus A. Höllerer is Professor of Management and Head of the Institute for Public Management and Governance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . In addition, Höllerer teaches at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

Life

In 2010, after studying business administration and philosophy, Höllerer obtained his doctorate in economics (Dr. rer. Soc. Oec.). In 2013 he completed his habilitation in the same position. Visiting professorships have taken him to Stanford University , Harvard University , the University of Alberta and the Copenhagen Business School . Höllerer has been teaching at UNSW since 2011 and at WU Vienna since 2014.

Work and interests

Höllerer conducts research on various topics of neo-institutionalist organizational theory and public management and governance , on new models and concepts of organization and control in the private, public and civil society sectors as well as on problems of intersectoral / collaborative governance.

In addition to his teaching and research assignment, Höllerer also makes his contribution to science as a member of the editorial board of various scientific journals, including the Academy of Management Journal , the Academy of Management Review , Organization Science , Organization Studies , and the Public Administration Review . Since 20XX he has succeeded Silviya Svejenova as Chairman of the Board of the European Group for Organizational Studies .
