Markus Beck was married three times: in 1516 with the widow Apollonia Lazar, née Leuninger (1482–1521). In 1522 he married Martha Heuberger (1507–1543), with whom he had eight children, only two of whom survived the parents (Barbara married Zinzendorfer and Hieronymus von Beck ). In 1544 he married Barbara von Werdenstein (or Wartenstein) (1508–1557).

Markus Beck began to write a family chronicle, which was supplemented by his sons Hans and Marcus and his grandson Hieronymus.
