Markus Edler (born January 23, 1983 ) is a former Austrian football player on the position of a left defender . He is currently a trainer in the Styrian league and has the A license. During his active time he played among other things at FC Gratkorn in the second-class Austrian first division .

Career

Edler began his career in the youth teams of ASK Köflach , where he played until 2006. That year he moved to TSV Hartberg , where he scored two goals in 29 league games. Only a year later, in 2007, transferred from the Noble Oststeirern in the Upper Styria for Kapfenberger SV . With the Kapfenberg team he was champion of the Red Zac First League in the 2007/08 season , but only a short time after this triumph he got out of the Kapfenberg team, where he made 17 appearances, to move to FC Gratkorn . The Gratkornern made 41 appearances, including 38 league games, and three ÖFB Cup games, in which he scored a total of three goals. The trained sports scientist was most recently active as a defender for ASK Voitsberg , but now decided to pursue a career as a coach at USV Mooskirchen in the major league.
