Markus Eisenhut

Markus Eisenhut (* 1963) is a Swiss journalist .

Life

Markus Eisenhut studied law and German at the University of Zurich . Before he became editor-in-chief of the commuter newspaper 20 Minuten in 2001 , he was deputy head of the Tages-Anzeiger service , head of news for the SonntagsZeitung , editor of Schweizer Illustrierte and head of sports for Blick and SonntagsBlick . He then launched the commuter newspaper 20 minutes in western Switzerland for Tamedia . In 2006 he moved to the Berner Zeitung , which also belongs to Tamedia , where he became co-editor-in-chief with Michael Hug.

From May 1, 2009 to November 2012, he headed the editorial team of the Tages-Anzeiger together with Res Strehle . After Res Strehle was appointed sole editor-in-chief, Eisenhut became head of editorial management. On January 8, 2013, it was announced that he was leaving the Tages-Anzeiger .

Since September 1, 2013, he has been a senior consultant at the PR and lobbying agency C-Matrix. In April 2014 his move to the largest Swiss PR agency Farner was announced. Since the beginning of 2016 he has been head of communications at Zurich Insurance Company .
