Markus Kössler

Markus Kössler (* 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German bass player and songwriter.

Kössler initially had violin lessons. He studied bass guitar at the St.Gallen Jazz School , where he graduated in 1995. He was a jazz prize winner in Switzerland in 1994 and initially played with Right or Wrong and in the trio Inside Looking Out (with Florian Dauner and guitarist Rainer Apel), with whom he also released albums. Since 1999 he has been a member of Die Fantastischen Vier as bassist . In 2004 he accompanied Sarah Brightman on her harem world tour (recorded from Las Vegas). With Sebastian Studnitzky he appeared in the Duo Funkbrüder and in other constellations. He also played with Badesalz , Charlemain , Bernie Marsden , Steve Vai , Schiller and Henni Nachtsheim . From 2005 to 2011 he was also part of the DSDS band .
