Markus Lotter

Markus Lotter (born September 28, 1970 in Amberg ) is a German journalist and former soccer player .

career

Markus Lotter played in his youth for his home club DJK Ensdorf and for 1. FC Amberg . After two years with SSV Jahn Regensburg in the Bayern League , he moved to SpVgg Fürth in 1993 . With the Fürthern he qualified in 1994 for the Regionalliga Süd and in 1997 he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga . There he came in the 1997/98 season on 26 missions. For the 1998/99 season he moved to FC St. Pauli and rose with this in the 2000/01 season in the Bundesliga . Here, however, due to an injury, he only had one appearance: on August 18, 2001 in the 2-0 defeat at Bayern Munich . In the same season, FC St. Pauli was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2002/03 season he made 13 appearances in the second division, but FC St. Pauli was relegated to the regional league at the end of the season.

Lotter then switched to the amateur club Köpenicker SC for one season and let his career end there.

Today Lotter lives in Berlin and works as a journalist. He heads the sports department at the Berliner Zeitung .
