Markus Mössle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Markus Mössle (born February 26, 1963 ) is a German neo-Nazi and convicted criminal. Mössle also appears as a politician ( FAP , NPD , non-party). He has been active for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) since 2015 ; 2019 as their top candidate in the Baden-Württemberg municipal elections in Ulm .

Life

Markus Mössle had contacts with neo-Nazi Michael Kühnen in the early 1980s . 1983 Mössle stood in the federal election for the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD). After Kühnen's arrest, Mössle briefly joined a group around Ernst Tag in 1984 , which endeavored to unite Kühnen's followers. In the same year he applied for a state parliament mandate for the FAP in the Ehingen constituency.

In the period between December 1984 and January 1985, Markus Mössle raided a total of three bank branches and a sex shop in Baden-Württemberg and Hesse , armed with a submachine gun , which probably came from Ernst Tag's arsenal. According to his own statement, he wanted to get Mössle money for Michael Kühnen. He stole more than 100,000  DM , of which Tag should have received 50,000 DM according to the public prosecutor. According to the chief prosecutor, the money was to be used to build a national center. Mössle was sentenced in 1985 to a prison term of six years and six months by the regional court in Giessen . In another trial in 1987 he was convicted again and received a total sentence of over 16 years.

In total, he served two thirds of his sentence in the Ravensburg correctional facility . While in custody he took up an apprenticeship and studied business administration as a freelance prisoner .

Mössle has been committed to the AfD in Ulm since 2015, but is not a member of the party. In the local elections in 2019, he ran as the top candidate for the Ulm AfD, which is why 8 of 12 candidates withdrew their candidacy for the Ulm city council. Only four AfD candidates remained on the list for the district council of the Alb-Donau district .

The state board of AfD Baden-Württemberg said that Mössle was not an AfD member because former NPD members were not allowed to join the AfD. The Ulm AfD members would have probably not known about this incompatibility decision. One wants to examine the initiation of party regulatory measures against those AfD members who have violated committee decisions. After moving into the Ulm municipal council, Markus Mössle was forbidden by the AfD's state board to speak in the name of or for the party.
