Markus Maier (born October 3, 1977 in Bad Tölz ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who currently plays in the top ice hockey league at EC Bad Tölz . Before that he was active in the DEL at Adler Mannheim .

Player career

The 1.80 m tall goalie began his career at his hometown club EC Bad Tölz, for which he was between the posts in the second-class first division from the 1996/97 season . In 1999 Maier moved to the reigning German champion Adler Mannheim. As a backup for Mike Rosati , he played 11 league games here, but most of the time he was used with the young eagles in the major league. With the Schalker Haien and the Deggendorfer SC , two more league stations followed before Markus Maier moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2001/02 season.

In 2002 the goalkeeper returned to his hometown club EC Bad Tölz. The engagement that still exists today was only interrupted by a season with the London Racers in the British Elite Ice Hockey League 2003/04.
