Justice research
Based on his experience as a criminal defense attorney, he began to deal with the issue of justice. He examined the human sense of justice as a yardstick and basis for decisions. In doing so, he gained the insight that the constantly increasing flow of information in terms of volume and complexity is no longer being processed sufficiently by people. This leads to a dominance of so-called “gut decisions”, which determine the assessment of situations and people with regard to satisfaction or rejection.
Schollmeyer developed an approach to describe social intelligence based on his research into justice. He regards social intelligence, justice and openness in professional conversations and private relationships as the keys to personal success. For Schollmeyer, truth and honesty are the basis for being able to act in a socially intelligent way.
He developed the so-called Bacon method (“Baseline Context Method”), which he uses in the search for truth in court and in counseling for couples. He observes and evaluates unconscious human behavior such as facial expression and body language to ensure the truthfulness and credibility of statements made in communication. In addition, he developed a formula for personal strength as a model for depicting the human sense of justice.
In order to institutionalize his activities in the field of justice research , he founded the private institute for justice research Aequalitas in 2010 , which now operates as the Steinbeis Transfer Center for Justice Research and Reputation at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and von Schollmeyer together with Lars Rademacher , who teaches at this university , is operated.
