Markus Schulze

Markus Schulze SAC (* 1960 in Marthalen ) is a Swiss theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school in Aarau in 1980, Markus Schulze began studying philosophy and theology (1980–1986) in Freiburg in Üechtland . He joined the Pallottines in 1983. He obtained his licentiate in theology in 1986 with the work Der Glaube als virtus perficiens intellectum in the Summa Theologiae of St. Thomas Aquinas in the subject dogmatics with Christoph Schönborn OP at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) , where he worked in 1991 with the same examiner in the subject of dogmatics / history of dogmas incarnate and immortal. The view of the soul in the anthropology and theology of St. Thomas Aquinas was promoted .

From 1986 to 1988 he was assistant at the dogmatic seminar of the university with Christoph Schönborn OP. He was ordained priest in 1987. From 1993 to 1995 he was a lecturer in dogmatics at the PTH Vallendar . As Provincial , he headed the Swiss Pallottine Province from 1996 to 1999. Since 2000 he has been a lecturer at the PTH Vallendar, whose dean of the theological faculty he was from 2012 to 2015. After habilitation there in 2007 with a thesis in dogmatics. Is Hell Human Possible? The problem of negative finality in German-speaking Catholic theology of the second half of the 20th century , he was appointed professor of dogmatics and fundamental theology in 2008.
