Markus Tempel (born December 9, 1965 ) is a former Polish skeleton pilot .

Markus Tempel started his skeleton career in 2003. The man from Warsaw has been part of the Polish national team since 2005. He contested his first races at local events and as a guest at the German and Italian championships in 2004. In November 2005, he contested his first European Skeleton Cup race in Igls , where Tempel finished 29th. Only two races later he took part in the 2006 European Skeleton Championships in St. Moritz and reached 21st place. Further appearances in the European Cup followed until 2007, with the best result being 18th in Igls. In 2007, the Pole started at two major events. He finished 30th at the 2007 Skeleton World Championship in St. Moritz and 25th at the 2007 European Skeleton Championship in Königssee . His last international race was in December 2007 as part of the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup , where he was at Königssee and 22nd in Winterberg .
