Vuorela, who starts for Jämin Jänne, ran his first race in the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti in December 2013 , which he finished classically in 160th place over 15 km. After finishing 38th in the Ruka Triple at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, he scored his first World Cup points in the 50 km mass start race on Holmenkollen , which he finished in 48th place, with fifth place in the first intermediate sprint.
