Markus Wiesler
Markus Wiesler (* 1976 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). From July 2015 to February 2020 he was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament .
Life
Markus Wiesler graduated from a commercial school and works as an office clerk . In the municipal council elections in 2012 , he ran for the FPÖ for the office of mayor in German Schützen-Eisenberg .
After the state elections in 2015 , he was elected on July 9, 2015 in the constituent meeting of the XXI. Legislative term as a deputy to the Burgenland Parliament sworn in , where he is a member of the Committee for European Integration and cross-border cooperation and acts as a speaker for Youth, Sports, firefighters, municipalities and municipal, regional planning, infrastructure, technology and transport.
Wiesler is district party chairman in the Oberwart district , and he was confirmed in this office at the beginning of 2016. In the 2017 municipal council elections , he ran again for the office of mayor of Deutsch Schützen-Eisenberg and received 25.97 percent of the vote.
In April 2018 he succeeded Christian Ries as regional manager of the FPÖ Burgenland. In the 2020 state elections , he is running in state election district 5 behind Ilse Benkö in second place on the list. After the state elections in 2020, he left the state parliament.
