Markus Wriedt

Markus Wriedt (born July 31, 1958 in Hamburg ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

From 1977 he studied philosophy and Protestant theology in Hamburg and Munich supported by the German National Academic Foundation (1979–1983). In 1983 he passed the first theological exam. The ordination to the parish priest of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau took place in 1993. From 1994 to 2001 he was a lecturer of church history at the University of Heidelberg and since 2000 in Frankfurt am Main. From 1985 to 2007 he was a research associate at the Institute for European History . From 2002 to 2012 he taught as a regular visiting professor of theology at Marquette University . After receiving his doctorate ( Dr. theol. ) In 1990 at the University of Hamburg and his habilitation in 2005 in Frankfurt am Main , he has been teaching associate professor at the University of Frankfurt am Main since 2006 .
