Marlene West (born June 8, 1972 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican - Caiman squash player .

Career

Marlene West first played on the WSA World Tour in 1994 . She reached her highest place in the world rankings with rank 71 in May 2010. She took part in the Commonwealth Games in 2002 , 2006 , 2010 , 2014 and 2018 , the first three times for Jamaica and from 2010 for the Cayman Islands. In 1993, 1999, 2001 and 2003 she was the Caribbean champion under the Jamaican flag , with Cameron Stafford , starting for the Cayman Islands, she became vice-panamerican mixed champion in 2018 . At Central America and Caribbean Games , she won the silver medal with the Jamaican team in 2002 and in doubles with Karen Anderson in 2006 , before winning gold in mixed with Cameron Stafford in 2014. With Stafford, she won the bronze medal in 2018, which she also won in the team competition. In 2012 , thanks to a wildcard , she was in the main draw of a world championship for the only time and was eliminated in the first round. West won the title at the Jamaican Championships five times.
