Marlyse Bernadett Ngo Ndoumbouk (born January 3, 1985 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian soccer player who now has French citizenship.

Career

Ngo Ndoumbouk started playing soccer at the age of ten with her older brothers on the street. In 2000 she was discovered by the Cameroonian club Louves MINCOF Yaoundé and she became national champion for the first time at the age of only 15. After six years, she moved in January 2007 from Louves MINCOF Yaoundé, where she was champion in her final season, to local rivals Lorema FC. After playing successfully there, she went to the USA for a short time in the winter of 2008 for Indiana FC to hunt for goals, but returned in May 2008, where she hired at Canon Yaoundé . Here she became champion and cup winner. On July 21, 2009 she signed a two-year contract with the German Bundesliga club FF USV Jena . On October 7, 2011 Ngo Ndoumbouk broke her contract with FF USV Jena and moved to the regional division SC Sand. After scoring 4 goals in 7 games in clay, she was invited to a trial training session in France with Tours FC at the end of December . After successfully completing the trial training and passing medical tests, she signed a contract with the second division FC Tours . After relegating Tours to Division 3, she returned to Cameroon in August 2012 to join Franck Rollyceck de Douala. After a season in Cameroon, she signed with the French second division VGA Saint-Maur in the summer of 2013 . There she was the team's top scorer with 17 goals in 22 games. The 2014/15 season was even more successful, in which she scored 43 of the 98 goals scored by her team and thus contributed significantly to the fact that Saint-Maur remained free of loss points and was prematurely promoted to Division 1 Féminine . But although she had asserted herself at this level and was able to score ten goals in twelve appearances, she left Saint-Maur in the 2015/16 winter break . She also made her debut in the first league game in mid-January with one goal for second division AS Nancy . At the end of the season, the 16 goals they scored in eleven games - including a "pack of eight" against the battered bottom line Mars Bischheim  - were not enough to prevent Nancy's relegation to the third-class Division d'Honneur . The club managed to retain the striker there, too, and in the summer of 2017 she successfully completed the promotion round with the Lorraine women , in which she scored seven goals in four games.

In the second division season 2017/18 she had 28 goals scored in 19 missions, which made her number one league chaser by a clear margin after 2014/15. A year later she moved to the first division relegated OSC Lille .

position

Ngo Ndoumbouk plays in the attacking midfield, but internationally mostly as a striker, despite her 1.80 meters she is considered to be technically well-versed. She is nicknamed Totti in her home country and is compared to the way Francesco Totti plays .

International

Ngo Ndoumbouk was the Cameroonian captain and made 45 international appearances. Among other things, she took part in the 2006 African Women Championship. In Cameroon's squad for the 2015 World Cup finals , she was not called up, regardless of her great season with Saint-Maur.

For this, she became world champion in the French military selection in 2016 ; She contributed significantly to this success with a total of three hits.

Trivia

Ngo Ndoumbouk is already the second Cameroonian soccer player in Germany. A year ago , Crystelle-Ida Ngnipoho-Pokam played in Jena for a short time, but after she was not allowed to play, Ngnipoho-Pokam went back to Cameroon in November 2008.

Personal

Ndoumbouk has been in a relationship with the Armenian international Apoula Edel since she was 24 (2009) .
