Marmara Eğitim Kurumları
Marmara Eğitim Kurumları ( Marmara Educational Institutions ) is a group of co-educational private schools in Turkey .
Locations
Teaching takes place in two cities: İstanbul - Maltepe and Bodrum - Ortakent . In İstanbul, however, there are now six kindergarten locations spread across the city.

history
Hüseyin Şimşek founded the private kindergarten in İstanbul in 1985. Elementary school and grammar school in İstanbul have existed since 1991. Two years later the main grammar schools were added. The schools near Bodrum have existed since 1998.

school uniform
All students are required to wear a school uniform . This consists of blue jeans , red sweatshirt , white blouse or white shirt and black shoes .
Special features in lessons
- Kindergartens
The maximum number of children in the groups is set at 20 people, in Bodrum it is only 15 children. In İstanbul, the children have tennis , chess and ballet lessons, among other things . English is also taught.
- Elementary schools
For 6 to 14 year olds there are a maximum of 15 students in each class. In Bodrum you can choose between English , German and Italian from the sixth grade onwards . A Turkish and a native speaker teacher are present in each English class.

Further training
- At Özel İstanbul Marmara Koleji , mathematics and natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) are taught in English in the 9th and 11th grades . In the 10th grade you have to choose one of four main training areas (natural sciences / mathematics, Turkish / mathematics, Turkish / social studies or foreign languages).
- Özel Marmara Anadolu Meslek Lisesi : The students have to do a 20-day internship at a television station or newspaper. The school is equipped with television and photo studios.
- Özel Marmara Fen Lisesi : There are additional lessons in small groups in the natural science subjects. Only students who have had excellent grades in mathematics and science in İstanbul Marmara Ilköğretim Okulu will be accepted.
The schools also offer free subjects such as chess , drama and billiards ; there is also a debating club .
International activities
The school belongs to the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the European Council of International Schools (ECIS). Furthermore, the schools of Marmara Eğitim Kurumları are members of the International Baccalaureate Program.
