Martha Griebler
Martha Griebler (* 1948 in Stockerau , Lower Austria ; † August 9, 2006 there ) was an Austrian painter , book author and illustrator .
Life
Griebler studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna . She distinguished herself primarily as a very productive and extremely sensitive draftsman; Her works have been shown in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums in Austria , Italy , Switzerland , Liechtenstein , the Czech Republic and Germany .
In the last ten years of her life, depictions from the environment of the composer Franz Schubert , his music and his circle of friends were one of Griebler's main fields of work. During these years she worked closely with the Schubertiade Vorarlberg .
Griebler is the mother of the artist Matthias Griebler . Daniel Kehlmann described his commitment to his mother during her serious illness in 2005 in the portrait My name is Anzengruber .
