Martha Prickartz

Martha Prickartz (née Call; * September 18, 1924 ; † May 6, 2015 in Konzen ) was a German skat player and skat world champion in 1994 of the International Skat Players Association (ISPA).

At the 9th Skat World Championship in Munich in 1994 , Martha Prickartz became world champion in the individual ranking. In addition, she won first place three times in the senior world champion category: 2004 in Pucón / Chile , 2006 in Nassau / Bahamas and 2010 in Cape Town / South Africa .

Martha Prickartz, who lives in Konzen near Monschau and starts for the “Herz Dame Aachen” association, has been playing skat since her youth and took part in her first tournaments when she was 17. In 1978 she was one of the co-founders of ISPA and took part in the first world championship event of the world association in Anaheim / California . Until her death, she hardly missed an event. At the national level, Prickartz won the title of German Skat Champion in the women's competition in Bad Urach in 1987 and the title in the senior class in Cologne in 2013 . A year later, at the age of 90, she once again achieved second place among senior citizens in Magdeburg .
