Martin Luther Medal (MLV Bayern)

The Martin Luther Medal was an award from the Martin Luther Association in Bavaria. V. (MLV), Evang.-Luther. Diaspora service (founded in 1860), a member association in the Martin Luther Bund .

Foundation purpose

The honor - a medal in gold and silver - was created in 1984 by the executive board and main committee of the MLV "for deserving employees and supporters" of the work of the MLV. The medal was awarded "almost every year" from 1988 to 1999 "for services to the [ Evangelical Lutheran ] diaspora ". The initiative for the foundation of the medal came from Pastor Hans Roser , the chairman of the MLV at the time.
