Udo Hahn
Udo Hahn (born May 9, 1962 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) is a German Protestant - Lutheran theologian , pastor and publicist .
education
Hahn studied Protestant theology in Erlangen , Neuendettelsau and Munich from 1982 to 1989 . He passed his first theological exam in 1989 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . From 1995 to 1997 he was a guest vicar in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland . After the second theological exam in 1997 in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland, Hahn was ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria in 1998.
Professional background
From 1986 to 1989 Hahn was editor of the Evangelical Sunday newspaper from Bavaria in Rothenburg od Tauber . From 1989 to 1999 he headed the department Christ und Welt / Evangelical Church in the Rhineland Mercury in Bonn .
From 1999 to 2011, as senior church councilor, he was the press spokesman for the United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germany (VELKD) and for the German National Committee (DNK) of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) based in Hanover .
Since it was founded in 2000 to 2012, he was chairman of the jury for the sermon prize , which was donated by the publishing house for the German economy AG .

Awards
In 1995 Hahn was awarded the Martin Luther Medal in Gold for outstanding journalistic achievements by the Martin Luther Association in Bavaria .
In February 2011, he received the US Movieguide Award in Los Angeles.
