Martin Ammermüller

Martin Georg Ammermüller (* 1943 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer and former ministerial official . From 1992 to 1993 he was President of the Federal Insurance Office .

Ammermüller grew up in Württemberg . In 1957, at the age of 14, he came to Bad Godesberg , a current district of Bonn , and graduated from the Heinrich-Hertz-Gymnasium there in 1962. After his military service, he studied law at the University of Tübingen and received his doctorate there in 1971 with a thesis on associations in the legislative process . This was followed by a traineeship in Tübingen , before Ammermüller joined the Federal Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs in Bonn in 1972 . Among other things, he was involved there, most recently as Ministerial Director , with the incorporation of the reform of the pension law as well as the employment promotion law into the social security code. During and after reunification, Ammermüller worked, partly still in the GDR labor ministry and in 1990/91 as head of the social insurance transfer agency , in the transfer of pension law and the social insurance agencies of the GDR into the federal German system. Finally, he served as President of the Federal Insurance Office from 1992 to 1993. In 1997 he left the Ministry of Labor. Then he was a member of the board of the German salaried health insurance fund in Hamburg until 2003 .

Since 2009 Ammermüller has been chairman of the Association for Homeland Care and Local History Bad Godesberg eV He lives in the Bad Godesberg district of Friesdorf .
