Martin Cüppers

Martin Cüppers (* 1966 in Trier ) is a German historian and scientific director of the Ludwigsburg Research Center .

biography

Cüppers completed his studies in history and Romance languages at the University of Trier and the Humboldt University in Berlin , which he finished in 2001. With a dissertation about the pioneers of the Shoah , he was in 2004 at the University of Stuttgart Dr. phil. PhD . He also worked as a researcher for the BBC . In April 2005, Cüppers became a research associate at the Ludwigsburg Research Center and in 2014 succeeded the retired Klaus-Michael Mallmann as the scientific director of this institution. He completed his habilitation in 2013 at the University of Stuttgart, where he also works as a private lecturer at the Historical Institute there - Department of Modern History.

Cüppers researches the Holocaust , anti-Semitism , Nazi crimes and their judicial processing, Nazi perpetrators and the history of the relationship between National Socialism and the Arab world . He is the author and editor of various specialist publications.
