Martin Dietrich

Martin Dietrich (born December 18, 1929 in Stuttgart ; † August 19, 2012 in Backnang ) was a German lawyer and local politician . From 1966 to 1986 he was Lord Mayor of the city of Backnang and later director of the Evangelical Upper Church Council of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

Life

After studying law in Tübingen and passing the second state examination in law, he joined the internal administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1958 . From 1963 he was alderman and from 1966 - as a non-party member - mayor of Backnang.

From 1986 director in the upper church council and as head of administration thus legal deputy of the regional bishop. After retiring in 1994, continued to work in honorary positions as a judge at the State Court for the State of Baden-Württemberg and as chairman of the Ev. Press association in Württemberg .

In 1950 he became a member of the Derendingia fraternity in Tübingen .
