Martin George Brennan

Martin George Brennan (* 1949 in California ) is a former American ambassador .

Life

Martin George Brennan studied African Studies ( Bachelor's degree in 1971) at the University of California, Berkeley and then completed the Master's program at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies .

After graduating in 1976, he entered the foreign service. Martin Brennan was accredited in Rwanda , Burkina Faso , Taiwan , Thailand and Ethiopia . He worked with refugees in Thailand, Cambodia , Vietnam and Laos . In the United States Department of State , he was acting head of the Southern Africa Department, which also oversees the peace processes in Angola and Mozambique .

On July 1, 2007, Martin Brennan moved back to Berkeley and became director of the International House dormitory there .
