Martin Gottfried Julius Schöne

Martin Gottfried Julius Schöne , also Schoene (born July 18, 1810 in Alt-Driebitz (Polish. Stare Drzewce, Wschowa), † 1873 in Lombard , Illinois, USA) was a Protestant pastor and member of the Prussian National Assembly.

On April 4, 1832, Schöne was "examined for leaving the university and discharged on April 13 with the certificate of the 2nd degree". In doing so, he had also “achieved maturity in Hebrew.” From 1839 to 1849 he was pastor of the Prussian Evangelical Church in Rothenburg an der Oder (Polish: Czerwieńsk). In 1848 he became a member of the Prussian National Assembly , then also the Prussian Second Chamber (1848/1849). After he was deposed by the Breslau Consistory in 1849, he founded a free Protestant congregation, which did not last long. In 1858 he emigrated to America.
