Martin Greif (actor)

Martin Andreas Greif (born July 14, 1973 in Schrobenhausen ) is a German actor .

Life

Martin Greif studied from 1996 to 2000 in Rostock at the University of Music and Theater . After completing his studies, he was permanently engaged at the Cottbus State Theater from 2000 to 2003 . In 2002 he was a guest at the Neersen Castle Festival ; he appeared there as Junker Bleichenwang in What you want and as Mortimer in Maria Stuart . From 2003 Greif worked as a freelance actor at the Munster Municipal Theaters , the Comedy on Kurfürstendamm , the Winterhuder Fährhaus comedy (2004) and the Theater der Jugend Wien (2004).

From 2006 to 2009 Greif was engaged at the Gera / Altenburg Theater. There he played Werther in a stage version of the novel Die Leiden des Junge Werther (2007), Orestes in Iphigenie auf Tauris (2007), Marchese of Forlipopoli in Mirandolina (2007) and the title role of Amadeus (season 2008/2009).

From the 2009/2010 season he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Weimar ; there he played Duke von Alba in Don Karlos (2009), Erich in stories from the Vienna Woods (2010) and Andres in Woyzeck (2010). Since summer 2011 he has been working as a freelance actor again. In 2012 he played the role of Don Valerio in the comedy Tumult im Narrenhaus by Lope de Vega at Theater Rudolstadt as part of the summer theater performances at Heidecksburg Castle . In the 2012/2013 season he appeared there again as a guest. He took on the role of Ken Gorman in the comedy Rumors ... Rumors of Neil Simon and the teacher's alter ego in Youth Without God .

Greif also acted in several film and TV productions. In 2001, in the crime film series Polizeiruf 110 , in the film Fluch der Gute Tat, he played the Slovakian youth Vladi Ossadnek from the Integra project , a private initiative that cares for young people in socially disadvantaged areas. In his role, Greif played one of the suspects in the murder of the young Roma Arpad Nagy. In 2011 he played a small role as “The King's Messenger”, who brings the king's message to the ball invitation to the stepmother and her daughter Annabella in the fairy tale film Cinderella . Before that, Greif also worked alongside Andreas Bieber (Hans) in the fairy tale film Hans im Glück (1999).

He also had episode roles in the television series Die Wache (2000), Der Landarzt (2002; as a fraudster Mr. Strempel, who wants to salvage art treasures from the Schlei , subsequently Sommertagsliebe ) and In allerfreund (2002; as a thug Daniel Weber subsequently The first step ).

Greif also starred in a few short films .
