Work and works

Martin Heine developed a method to design pictures from the back. He called this process Reversed Iconography . The first reversed pictures were made from insect screens , through which he pressed oil paint from the back. Later these were replaced by other mesh fabrics e.g. B. Replaced screens of screen printing . In his sophisticated paintings he overlaps digital drawings, erotic pictures, messages, street motifs and landscapes to form a complex matrix of bright colors. Painting from the back of the painting opens up the possibility of "removing the artist from the space between the viewer and the work of art."

Martin Heine was an enthusiastic performance artist. In his shows he is often immersed in his element, the colors. For example: 2004 “The Mediocre Shunga, use your head”, Kurb Gallery, Perth; 2006 "smear talk & # 8211", elements art gallery; 2007 "Rebirth of the Painter", Kurb Gallery / Perth.
