geography

Neuhausen is located on the eastern slope of the Black Forest 5 km southeast of Königsfeld in the Black Forest.

It is a street village with short cross paths.

history

The oldest sign of settlement is Judenbühl, located south of the village “im Moos”, a burial mound from the earlier Iron Age that has not yet been explored . Neuhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1094 as "villa Nuenhusen". However, the village was probably founded between the years 700 and 1000 - this is indicated on the one hand by the Alemannic graves of Ebenhausen and on the other by the church patron Saint Martin , who was influenced by Franconia . Neuhausen is likely to be the oldest settlement in the entire municipality of Königsfeld.

Konrad von Burgberg sold Selhof and the Neuhausen monastery in 1329 to the Johanniter from Villingen. After a dispute between them and the cities of Rottweil and Villingen over the jurisdiction of higher courts in the 16th century , Villingen prevailed before the Imperial Court of Justice in 1602 . In 1805 the property of the Johanniter came to the Kingdom of Württemberg . However, they handed it over to the Grand Duchy of Baden with the exchange and epuration contract of October 17, 1806 . During this time, however, the state administration was incumbent on the city of Villingen.

administration

Neuhausen includes the residential areas An der Königsfelder Straße, Im Moos and Katzenbühl.
