Martin Hermann Büchting
Martin Hermann Büchting (* 1822 in Döbeln ; † July 9, 1885 ibid) was a German Protestant theologian and author who was best known for his religious drama Bianca .
Life
After attending school, studying theology and earning a doctorate as a Dr. phil. At the University of Leipzig , Büchting was first tutor in several noble houses. In 1857 he became diaconate administrator in Ehrenfriedersdorf , in 1861 he went to Königstein fortress as a garrison preacher and pastor . In 1866 he became pastor in Mittweida . After his retirement he moved back to his hometown, where he died on July 9, 1885 at the age of 63.
In Leipzig he belonged to the Masonic Lodge Balduin zur Linde.
