Martin Lichtfuss

Martin Lichtfuss (born May 3, 1959 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian composer and conductor .

Professional background

After extensive studies at the Tyrolean State Conservatory and the Vienna University of Music (composition, conducting) as well as at the Universities of Innsbruck and Vienna (German studies), Martin Lichtfuss acquired a ten-year career as a conductor at several theaters in Germany (including Würzburg), Austria and Belgium (Brussels) extensive practical experience. From 1995 to 2005 he headed Department I for Music Theory / Music Conducting and a class for composition at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. In 2005 he was appointed professor for composition / composition at the Vienna University of Music.
