Martin Lynes

Martin Lynes (born January 21, 1968 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actor .

Life

Martin Lynes grew up in Perth , Western Australia . In his youth he was interested in sports and surfing . He left school at the age of 15 and initially traveled through Australia with a friend. On his return to Perth, he attended a comedy workshop, where he made his first acting experience.

He completed his acting training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, from which he graduated in 1994 with an Acting Diploma. This was followed by some theater engagements . At the Marian Street Theater in Sydney he starred in a production of the play The Club by the Australian playwright David Williamson . In 1996 he played in a stage version of Lady Chatterley at the Sydney Festival . In 1997 he starred in a production of This is the sea at the Stables Theater in Sydney .

From 1998 to 2004 he played Dr. Luke Forlano in the All Saints hospital series . In the series he played a surgeon who repeatedly unsuccessfully applied for the post of chief physician . The role was Lynes' first continuous series role. He became known on German television for his role as coach Simmo, the cool owner and trainer of the Solar Blue surf school , in the series Blue Water High . Lynes has also acted, directed and produced a number of short films , including Know Your Destiny and Ask Muff .

Lynes is married to producer and director Marie Patane and has one child. At times he was in a relationship with the Australian actress Belinda Emmett .
