Martin Máca (born June 28, 1990 ) is a Czech grass skier . He has competed in the World Cup since 2007 .

Career

Máca drove his first FIS races in June 2005, but did not finish in the top 30 in his first season. In July he took part in the Junior World Championship in Nové Město na Moravě and finished 27th in the Super-G and 34th in the giant slalom. At the Junior World Championships 2006 in Horní Lhota u Ostravy he reached 17th place in the giant slalom and 33rd place in the Super-G. In FIS races he was twice in the top 20 in the 2006 season.

On August 11, 2007, Máca made his debut in the World Cup . In the giant slalom in Čenkovice , he also got his first World Cup points with rank 23. On September 1 of the same year he reached the 16th place in the super combination of Forni di Sopra , with which he finished 42nd in the overall ranking of the 2007 season. A week later he took part in the 2007 World Championships in Olešnice v Orlických horách and came in 26th in the slalom, 39th in the super-G and 42nd in the super combined. The Czech did not take part in the 2007 Junior World Championships. In the 2008 season , Máca only contested a few races. In the World Cup he was twice in the top 25, placing him 64th in the overall ranking. In the 2009 World Cup season he reached 15th place in the second slalom in Čenkovice and 23rd place in the super combination of Wilhelmsburg and came 57th in the overall World Cup. In July and August 2009 the Czech took part in the Junior World Championship for the first time in three years and achieved tenth place in the super combined as well as 24th in the Super-G and 26th in the slalom. He did not start at the 2009 World Cup.

In the 2010 season , Máca took part in competitions in the Czech Cup only in the FIS and World Cup slaloms in Faistenau , but was disqualified in both. In the 2011 season , in addition to some races in the Czech Cup, he only started two World Cup and FIS races in his home country. He only won World Cup points once as 27th in the super combination of Olešnice v Orlických horách. Máca drove a total of four World Cup races in the 2012 season . With eleventh place in the slalom of Předklášteří he reached his best World Cup result so far. He finished 44th in the overall World Cup.
