Martin Münch

Martin Münch (born May 24, 1961 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German composer and pianist.

Münch studied composition with Wolfgang Rihm . In terms of composition, he sees himself as the successor to Alexander Scriabin . He has lived in South America since 2016.

Publications

The more than 40 published compositions include piano and chamber music as well as orchestral works . Since 1996, several piano improvisations have been released under the title “Katharsis”, some of which have been published on CD.

As a pianist, he has made guest appearances in numerous countries in Europe and America as well as in Japan. Since 1994 he has taught piano at the University of Bamberg . He is the founder and director of the piano festival Pianorama in Florence and the Neckar music festival.

In addition to his pianistic and compositional work, Martin Münch made a name for himself as a philosophically oriented free spirit (chairman of the Bund für Geistes Freiheit Rhein-Neckar) with a strong tendency to criticize Islam.

Martin Münch has lived in Argentina since 2016. He criticizes the lack of legal certainty that would be sacrificed because of humanity in Germany.
