Martin Maneke

Heinrich Ludwig Martin Maneke (born June 30, 1909 in Baven ; † May 10, 1998 in Hanover ) was a German pediatrician who made significant contributions to the development of social pediatrics .

Life

After graduating from the Johanneum Lüneburg in 1928, Maneke began studying medicine at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . Here he joined the country team Scotland . After stays at the universities of Leipzig and Greifswald, he passed the state examination in Berlin in 1933. 1936 doctorate Maneke to Dr. med. In 1939 he was drafted into a tank battalion as a troop doctor. From 1945 to 1949 he was a Soviet prisoner of war.

In 1949 Maneke became a research assistant and senior physician at the University Clinic in Marburg . From 1955 he was head of the department for social pediatrics at the Hanover health department as a medical advisor. In 1962 he was given a teaching position at the Hanover University of Education . For the winter semester 1968/69 he was appointed to the chair for social pediatrics at the Hannover Medical School .

1973 Maneke retired.

Martin Maneke was editor of the textbook Sozialpädiatrie - textbook for students and doctors, first published in 1979 .
