Thomas Chakiath
Thomas Chakiath ( Malayalam തോമസ് ചക്യത്ത് ; born September 10, 1937 in Karukutty ) is an Indian priest and auxiliary bishop in Ernakulam-Angamaly .
Life
The Archbishop of Ernakulam , Joseph Parecattil , ordained him a priest on December 1, 1964 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam . Pope John Paul II appointed him on January 19, 1998 titular bishop of Uzippari and auxiliary bishop in Ernakulam- Angamaly .
The Apostolic Administrator of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Varkey Vithayathil CSsR , ordained him bishop on April 14 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Joseph Powathil , Archbishop of Changanacherry , and Jacob Manathodath , Bishop of Palghat .
